motley/pattern question

I have a new ghost corn and the first 6 inches of his body looks like a motley corn...circles, connected saddles. the rest of his body is normally patterned. he seems to have reduced checkering on his stomach, but it's still there. does his dorsal pattern mean that he's motley, or does is checkered belly say he's not? I'll try to attach a pic, but I can't promise anything. thanks so much!

I'd say he's not a motley. It's pretty common for corns to have some connected saddles right there. Yours may have more than average, but that doesn't make it a motley unless it's also got an unpatterned belly.

Could you show a pic of the verntal scales? I have a Motley that doesnt really even look like a motley... and about half of its Ventral scales are white... and half are checkered... I havent breed her yet but Im sure Ill get Motleys out of her... shes just not a very good speciman for the Motley trait!
