Are albino corn snakes less healthy than others? I know lack of pigment in other species (like pple) comes with health problems like vision and skin problems etc..

Thanks!

No more than anyother type of corn.
But the Butters seem to be an troublesome bunch. Always looking for escape routes and don't seem to settle down for photo opportunities. :grin01:

Good Luck :cheers:

The only thing i've ever read is that if a corn is albino strong uv lights could make them go blind but i'm not sure maybe a more experienced keeper could help

They're actually AMEL, not albino. Though there are many types/'morphs' of amel corns, they wouldn't all be so hugely popular if they were any more susceptible to illness than any other corn.

Or in a word, no :D

Amelanistic is the proper name (means no black pigment) but people call them albinos that means white in latin, thats what they call humans who lack melanin (the only pigment we have).
hope that makes sence

Amel= RED ALBINO
Anery= BLACK ALBINO
ETC...
Is one less healthy than another? I personally LOVE the snows, but have never had any luck raising them. Are they less healthy or do I just pic bad ones? :shrugs:
