Apr 27/05... I have no been able to weigh her since this one. As my little scale only goes to 6lbs... so container and snake exceed that.

The bedding is just peat moss. The BRB's need close to 100% humidity as youngsters, a little less as they age... so I played around with different substrates.... The peat moss was wonderful except the fecal matter blended in too well sometimes LOL. Now I just use newspaper ( dampened ) and moss in hides :)
 
Great documentation of growth pics. I'd love to see a picture of you holding promise to get an idea of just how large she really is.

p.s. snakes don't have feet? :)
 
I love the time line of pictures you have there. BRB are really neat animals. I wish I had more room to add different species but Ill stick with what we already have for now. I feel so left out.

at one point I was going to get a BRB but somehow my plans got dettered, I believe it was goign to be my first snake ::nods::

Thanks everyone :) These guys are my babies. Promise was my second snake. Her name, well, :shrugs: stems from me promising no more snakes... :grin01: That didn't work so well LOL.

She's remarkable though. Was nippy untill she hit 7 or 8 months, now she's wonderful. She's one snake that I have no hesitation to let my kids hold.

I do have some detailed feeding/shedding/weight records for her from her first year and a half if anyone is interested in seeing them. I am going to attempt to weigh her next week ( she just ate yesterday ). As of April 2005, she was 3lbs 3oz. I would have to say at least 5 now.... I'm going to try to squeeze her into the same container that I have her pictured in when I last weighed her.

I will definitely get a pic of her on my hand ( arm actually LOL ) to compare :)
