Sad Day

"Quality Before Quantity"
 Not a good day at my house. I woke up this morning to find my 5 month old 1.0 Okeetee dead in his water bowl. I checked them all last night , as I usually do, and he seemed fine. I didnt think anything was wrong with him. I purchased him about 4 months ago along with a 0.1 Amel. He ate everytime I offered food which was 1 pinky every week except for last week. That was the first time he didnt eat. I did notice he wasnt growing as quick as the Amel. but I thought maybe he was just a runt. I looked at him and he still had a bit of a bulge in him and I thought it may have been from the pinky I gave him the week before where it was kind of a big pinky. Can anyone tell me what might have caused this sudden death?
Thank You,
Jay & PJ Coombs

I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, it is very unlikely that anyone here will be able to pinpoint an exact cause. :(

an online diagnosis could be as inaccurate as most government polices (my side of the pond also!)

best thing to do, if you really want to know, is to refridgerate it for now, and then take it to a vet for a post mortam asap..

The best way to find out especially if you have any other reptiles is to have a necropsy done at a vet's and make sure it didn't have anything contagious that would put your other animals at risk.
Sometimes these things just happen and I am sorry

How much does it cost to have a necropsy done? Different parts of the country will likely cost more / less I guess, but what would a general price range be?
