This shed was about 2 inches longer than his last one, three months ago. Not sure if that's slow growth, fast growth, or average (I'm guessing it's not fast since it took him THREE months to shed!!!)...but who cares! He's soooooo clean and pretty!!! LOL.
 
Wow, he looks 100% better!

I had much the same ordeal with my opal. She had a bad shed and then a nasty looking brown scab on her nose for awhile. As soon as she shed again she looked like a million $$$$. :)

i'm wondering if perhaps rat snakes dont shed as often as corns.
coincidently, Shadow shed yesterday. it was a problem shed though. only his head came off on its own. i think it was a bit too dry in his viv. and he didnt soak himself.
i soaked him and gently wrapped him in a towel. and let him work his way out of the towel (thanks kathy love for the tip in your book!) and the rest of the shed came off in one piece.
and this shed was a couple inches longer than his last.
