do red eyes go opaque before shedding?

Hi, I am a newbie with a hatchling snow corn. His eyes were bright red when I got him, now they are not so bright. Same for his body color. Is he getting ready to shed? I've seen regular pigmented snakes before they shed, you can definitely see the eyes go opaque. But what do the red eyes look like before a shed?

Yes, they do go opaque. They can be more difficult to tell at first. My first corn was a snow and I missed it the first time she was opaque, but now I can easily tell. Sounds like yours will probably shed in a few days time. :)
