I can't believe somebody hasn't posted this ? yet! But who do you Root for in
the Daytona 500? :shrugs: I'm split between #24 or his team mate #48.I know there are alot of Gordon haters out there,but he's still a good driver! Johnson is always a threat too!

I'm old school. I'm rooting for Mark Martin. Go #6! I've always loved him and he's never won a Daytona 500. This is his last season, so a win in the 500 would be awesome for him. I'm just glad that he's finally done with Viagra as a sponsor. That was horrible. I couldn't wear his T-shirts to school because it was considered obscene. Now he has AAA as a sponsor. I won't actually get see the race, just listen to it on the radio, unless I decide to tape it. I have to work on Sunday :cry: .

As for me, I want the guy with the fastest car to win. (I prefer Indy to Stock.) (I also prefer basketball to racing.)

yeah that's what he said last season!! haha. I used to root for Rusty, but I really don't watch it much any more. I do sometimes keep an eye out for who is young and cute and root for those guys! haha

OK I just had to say that. Anyways I was a die hard fan of Robert Yates racers till he treated Ernie Irvan so poorly on his comeback. Id love to see one of the new kids grab the win as much as some one on their way out so I guess GO MARK MARTIN or Casey Kane or some one like that.
NHRA Drag Racing is where my heart is at! GO JOHN FORCE! And of course when his daughter Ashley starts racing Ill have to root for my future Ex wife.

Well, if we're gonna be partial to "locality" drivers (sorry, I'm ranting from another thread ;) ), I'll go with Number 17. Matt's hometown is about 20 miles from where I live. Besides, what Y-chromosome worth his salt doesn't appreciate DeWalt tools?

Pre-race coverage has begun! I was thinking about who I'd like to win if Mark doesn't. It would have to be one of his teammates. Especially Carl Edwards. He does some pretty nice backflips off his car when he wins. Very cool!
