New Critter

I put the 'pygmy' in ban.
Two days ago this little fellow found his way to our house. His name is Gordy,he's a one year old Pygmy goat and he is darn adorable. We've had goats for as long as I can remember, and since our other goat is getting very old we decided to adopt Gordy. He's enjoyed a fairly plush life which includes far more grain than he needs (he's a butterball) so we're hoping to change his eating habits to give him a long healthy life.

I've also included a picture of our mini donkey Suki and our other 'old goat' Flash (who happens to be almost 15 years old).

Oh how adorable!!! I love goats!! My neighbor used to have goats and would bring us fresh goat milk all the time. How fun!! Congrats!

Cute goat. My wife would love one.

I'm curious .... how does a goat find his way to your house?

Do you home unwanted animals or was he just a stray? A stray pygmy goat just sounds too wierd .... :grin01:

I love goats hehe, i use to always want one as a child...thanks for sharing the pics...awesome donkey :)

Animals tend to find their way into our house in a myriad of ways, but this little guy came to us by way of an elephant trainer. He (the trainer) has a girlfriend who has far too many goats, so they decided that Gordy should come live with us. So, here he is! :)

Aww..too cute! I miss our goats.

Hopefully in the next year or so we'll have some more. They are such fun critters to hang out with. I miss our daily walks through the woods and down by the river. The Herd, as I called us. Me, 1 dog, 2 goats, and 3 cats walking through the fields and pastures. ;)
