the pic is the XL version, which i use for adult ATBs
the 30x30x30 (with is actually about 12"x12"x12" - 1 cubic foot) might be a bit on the large side for a hatchling. And add in the cost of cage that it will soon out grow, and you should just go with something smaller...

Corns like length better than height. So you might want to try a ten gallon size aquarium/terrarium if the corn is a hatchling, or very young one. This should work out for a year. A 20gallon long is recommended after that, but I think adults need a bigger area. Try a "search" on this sight for habitat size.

they are awesome cages, i bought one of those for a friend's gecko. i like how it opens in the front.
but i dont think they would be a great terrarium for corns. i think they're more suited for climbing herps. they need more floor space.
most people recommend a 20L for adult corns.

eco earth is fine, i used it for a while but then it got to be a pian to drain all the water out of it in -4*F weather.

Ok. I've had a bad history with this kinda viv. I would not recomend them. The snakes that are young find a way to get through the little holes for the wires. If you are sure your snakes won't get out. go for it. I had to Stuff and tape the holes. Theres a little slider on them but after awhile, they come looser and move easily.
the smalled Exo - Terra, its like a foot by a foot... I think is WAYY 2 small for a corn. I have one for my baby lepoard Gecko.. and its tiny. the Super Pet near my house, has some really nice sizes of Exo-Terra tanks though, which might be nice for a corn, they are longer tanks, they dont show them on the exo-terra site, but they are long rather than really high... they might be quite nice for a corn. and I do know some pet stores that use them for all their animals including snakes

I have that "really small" one your talking about Cora. and its big enough for a corn under a yearling, but i would not recomend it.
it may be big enough for a yearling.. but you might as well keep them in a ten gallon, its bigger and wayyyyyyyyyyy cheaper!

The exoterra's are WAY too expensive. They look like they'd be good for a fancy chameleon display, or something else that likes vertical. (But only if you don't have to upsize.)

Well my snakes fine with his now. After he's learnt that the holes are plugged up. He likes it. and he's not even a yearling yet. We've got something now to move him up in. But we're waiting a few days to move him up to it, seeing as we still have to set it up for him and everything.
