Hello, I'm a newbie with lots of annoying questions, but for now I'll just stick to one......

I am having the hardest time finding a decently large glass terrarium. I want something big enough for a python.....(not a tiny ball python..) I'd like to set up an area for basking and for hiding that are not directly beside one another in a little aquarium. I know that cornsnakes don't need anything huge, but I personally would like to provide a "small forest", with a good sized branch. So I would prefer something tall as well as wide. I know owners of larger snakes have them....so why am I unable to locate one?!

Seems like it should be easier.....any suggestions on where to look?
 
about how many gals are you wanting? if you're talking about an all glass tank, i'd check out fish stores...
my friend got a large glass tank for his ball python from a fish store. it's actually a used aquarium. he made a screened top for it.
and i've got a 29 gal Critter Cage (all-glass makes them) for my largest corn. the petstore i got it from also carried a 40 gal breeder...although thats the largest terrarium i've seen.
most terrariums i've seen for larger snakes are usually 3/4 wood, and have a glass front. and most are custom made. do a search for wooden vivs and you'll find a few examples of these.
