digesting the aspen bedding?

Is it okay for a corn snake to accedently ingest a piece of aspen bedding while eating a pinkie? I just fed my 6 month old and i noticed a little piece of aspen stuck to the thawed pinkie and he ate it. Is this okay, and will it affect him in any way?
 
That happened to me with my garter snake before I came on here and learned that you should always feed a snake in a seperate container. He is now fine, but you need to keep an eye on your snake for any problems.
