big pinkies or little adults?

Why is it that I go to the pet store to buy fuzzies, and they have what looks like large pinks with peach fuzz on them, along with itty bitty miniature adults. They're all the same size. But the peach-fuzzy ones are much more plump. The adult-looking ones are all flattened and mangled. I can post pics if you're into that. But I'm just wondering why the difference? :shrugs:

the pet shop is probably not letting the mice develop properly... breeding and killing them too fast...
post pictures and lets see

I know exactly what you mean, the fuzzies at one of the shops I get them from are smaller than the peaches from the other supplier, and I have to get pinks from whichever shop has decent ones at the time. My 2 remaining home-grown mice are just turning into hoppers, and they are monsters compared to the bought ones. I haven't done anything special, but then I'm not breeding high volume at lowest cost to make a profit. From the pics I've seen of the rodentpro mice, they look a decent standard that takes me 20 minutes wading through the petshop freezer to try to get!
