wellll i cant remember how much my pet store charged for the 40 gal. but i got the 29 gal for $49.99 on sale around Christmas time. it regularly sold for $69.99. the 40 gal wasnt much more than that if i remember right, maybe around $79?

I paid $79 for mine. Plus tax, of course.

I think I paid about $50 for a 30 gl.

We use 40 and 30 gallon breeder tanks for all our adults and we pay around $80 each for them. I guess that would be the going price.

Super nice looking viv's!! Are those the backgrounds you can buy at the pet stores?? My husband said he wanted to put one of those on Billy's viv and I laughed. But it looks so awesome, I'm gonna have to do that. I put in an order for a really neat looking hide I saw yesterday. Billy has the big flat looking rock one but I haven't been able to find any more that are big enough for him. So, I used the old fashioned box for the other end. I want to dress it up a bit with the nicer hide I saw. I know people, it's for me, not Billy. He couldn't care less if all he had were box hides but I want it to be purty... Hehehe...

A 40 gallon breeder (Critter Cage) is $99 at PetCo. That doesn't seem to be a deal though with the prices others are quoting...

I got mine at a small pet store and it is a 50 gallon and it was only $100.

I called all of the pet stores in my town and seems like 104-110 (for a 40breeder) is what they are charging.

I called a hardware store and they said they have a critter cage for 69.99. I dont know if that is right - ill have to call them again. They might of mistaken that I said 20gallon.

Well thank you to everyone who likes our vivariums. My wife spends a lot of time setting up and maintaining them. We prefer not to keep them in rack systems as we beleive it is less stressful to keep them in a some what natural environment. Trigger, you should be able to get the half log hides at your local pet store. You can also try to stack some items to make hides. If you look at some of my vivs you can see that some of the hides are nothing more then plants draped over a log or stick. Holly, yes they are backgrounds you buy at a pet shop, they are nice and help you finish off the decorating part and also encloses the viv to make it less stressful on your snake/s. We cover 3 sides of the vivs. My wife also uses printed cloth material with leaf or jungle paterns on them that she buys at WalMart. Be creative. And Kim, getting a compliment from you makes it all worth wild....lol.jk, thank you very much. Well thanks to you all, i'm glad you guys like them. We keep our adults in 30-40 breeders, our sub-adults in 20 longs and the babies in 10 gallons. Honestly my wife deserves the high fives cause she works her a** off on them. Well, I stopped by that hardware store and they do have a 40Gal breeder for 69.99. Sad thing is that this hardware store is in the same strip mall as the pet store that sells the same thing for 110.

I have my stand all set up. Ill be buying the tank this week and getting it all setup.

Good deal. It's good that you are getting your tank all set up before getting the snake. It will also be a good way to get your temps stabilized before you put the snake in there. Keep us updated on how things go.

are theses sizes ok for a full grown corn?

I guess it depends on how big your corn gets. Id say that might be a little small - but don't take my work for that.

Trigger I am so curious where are you from? Petco and PetSmart have loads of that stuff from 5 bucks to 20 bucks from hides, decor, water dishes, uth, thermometers.
