Noticing small white patches on my red corn snake... Sick?

The title pretty much says it all. I have an approximately 4 foot long red/orange corn snake, and I just noticed some tiny white patches, stretching over a few scales at a time. The snake lives at home with my family while I'm at school, so honestly I have no idea if this is something to be worried about or if I'm just being an idiot, but I thought I'd check it out anyway. Any thoughts?

That's just your corn's pattern, nothing to be concerned about. Many of them have "holes" in the saddle areas. :)

Here's an example:

Thanks so much - I know it seems silly, but my little brother takes really crappy care of the snake when I'm away, so I just thought it was safer to ask people who would know.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I don't mean to be rude, but perhaps it might be time to look for a better source of care for your snake? Animals deserve the best after all. Either that or talk to your brother and ensure that he knows what he's doing.

I totally agree - sadly, the snake technically belongs to him, although I'm the only one who takes decent care of it. He's big, strong, and healthy, and unless he's sick my parents aren't going to force the boy to do too much more. I just try to keep an eye on potential problems. Thanks again for your help, and of course you weren't rude, you're looking out for the welfare of the animal.

Perhaps instead of crappy I should have said minimal - he gets all his most basic needs taken care of, food and water and heat, but his cage isn't cleaned out nearly enough, and the cage is adequate but pretty bare bones. I'm working on it:)

It's a shame, but well done to you for looking out for the snake.
And I'm glad I didn't offend you! Sometimes things don't come out right when I say them, lol.
Good luck with the snake!

see, my snake also has these white patches, it is perfectly normal.
