Corns in Nature Vivaria?

I'm seriously considering setting up a natural vivarium in my 29 gallon tank. This would include a bioactive substrate system with live plants. I'm using Philippe de Vosjoli's book, The Art of Keeping Snakes, published by The Herp Library for reference. Has anybody tried this with their corn before? If you have, can you tell me a little about your experience?

Someone asked about bioactive substrates. I can't remember if there's any good info in there, but it's a starting point. I really don't think many people around here (if any :shrugs: ) use bioactive substrates.

If you're dealing with one corn and can actually make it work, then maybe it would be worth a try. But for me, even if I only had one corn, it wouldn't be worth it. That's just my personal opinion.
 
I believe I read about someone trying this awhile ago. You might want to do a search on bioactive Philippe de Vosjoli and see if it shows up. It was quite a debate if I recall...
 
Argh! And I tried the forum search option myself and didn't come up with anything. Thanks guys, sorry for being redundant. :rolleyes:
