QUICK QUESTION?????HELP

Hi
I have a 3 quick question about my corn snake its about two months old now and all it does it stay in its hide and sleeps. Day time and night time is there any reasonable explanation for this. Also when I go to pick him up he runs away but i pick him up and for just a few seconds hes a little testy but then settles down and just crawls on my hand. Is it bad to pick him up when hes in the hide even though hes in it all the time? And last my snake has not shed yet how long does it usually take before its first shed????
Thanks for all the help

IMHO: alot of baby corns prefer to stay in their hide day and night because they feel safer. about him running away when you pick him up i think that most young 'uns do this because they are afraid that your going to eat them if you catch them. your baby will eventually calm down and not run. as for picking him up i believe that would be okay but dont do it to much or he may get streesed out and not wanna eat. i usally handle my babies about 10-15 mins a day or every other day.also most baby corns shed about once a month depending on how much they get fed and how big their food items are.BTW, welcome to the best forum n earth.:IMHO

HTH
p.s. if this is your first corn watch out cause the addiction will soon follow and you will have more corn then is imaginable...lol...
