It's darling!!! I love the brindle / stripy mice. You absolutely have to post photos when it's another week or so old!! JenC posted pictures of another brindle baby mouse, I'll have to check back here for more photos of them both :cheers:

Thanks everyone! It's the lighter "ticked" portions of brindle that makes him a merle I think. He came out of a Black/White/Grey Merle father and a really light Brindle "cow" mouse. I don't know what the correct terminology is. The father had brindle in his background and the mother merle so I was hoping they'd make one. Maybe this weekend I'll get a chance to take a pic of the parents.
The only reason I fear for his life is because I like him. He is healthy and both mom and her "nursing maid" are good mommies. I just never underestimate Murphy.

I'd love to see what the merle looks like. We have "splash" here and I'm wondering if they're the same thing. (Hurley has created pied splash brindles, so we will have some designer feeders, too.)

Wow, how time flies. I took some pics of the male and I didn't realize how old he is getting until looking at his recent pics close up. I did a search and found this baby pic dating back to January of 05! He is still fat and healthy and all his ladies have large litters.
