help!

no, I have an undertank heater that I mounted to the side of the tank. the temps are usually at about 80 degrees through out the whole cage.

Did you read the links I gave you.?
The first for or five cover the basic needs and what you should use.

You need a warm side and a cool side. Warm side should be about 80-85 degrees and cool side 70-76. You should use a thermometer with a probe to get a good reading. The heat mat should work better if place under the Viv too. To me, on the side is just warming the air a bit. :wavey:

Your snake doesn't need a night light. The only reason to have a red bulb, since you have a heat mat, is for you to see the snake at night.

yes, that´s right, well red bulbs also are a heat resource but, you should only use it to watch your snake while its out at night without bothering its view
