sorry if this has already been covered or if it sounds like the dumbest question ever, i did do a search and it seems that the general opinion is to feed baby corns a whole pinkie every week/few days, however the rescue centre where my friend bought my 6 week old corn (ziggy), said that i should feed him half a pinkie (sliced lenghtways :puke01: ) every monday. so im now a bit confused shall i just give him whole pinkies now or continue the halves until he's a bit older & bigger???
also while im typing, are the snake starter kits that i've seen on e-bay & in a pet shop any good? i have a pretty basic wooden vivarium at the moment but i'd like to get something better suited for ziggy's requirements.

just did another search

sorry found my answer i missed it the first time, kids are soooo distracting, lol. will start giving ziggy whole pinkies, he ate his half pinkie on monday so when is it ok to give him his whole one? again sorry if im being a pain in the butt :)

I have a hatchling on the way and have been told to give her small pinkies, whole.

The prey size generally should be slightly wider than the body. If he is exceptionally small, or not feeding well, then maybe that is why they told you to slice-n-dice... but from what I have read and heard, in books and online, their jaws can stretch A LOT to accomodate food items. :shrugs:

I would wait until this weekend. As far as size of the pinkies go, the general rule of thumb is to not go bigger than 1.5 times the width of your snake.
