What effect were you going for with the last picture? "Snakes in an Earthquake?" :grin01:

I'm just kidding... nice looking snake, he looks quite big from the pics. How long he is?

i dunno how big or long he is i never measured him before. yeah the bowl in his tank is an extra large. i just bought a new 40 gallon tank for him, it looks like he getting too big for a 20 gallon tank lol!

thanks for all your comments. i was wondering how you guys would measure the length of a cornsnake mine wont stay still when i try.

I've heard it suggested that you use a piece of string or yarn and cut it to the length of the snake and then measure the piece of yarn. It will take a bit of practice, because I don't think many snakes will sit still for it! lol I've not yet measured the length on any of my snakes, but I do weigh them on a postal scale around 1-2 times a month.

Hope that helps.

I got pretty handy it measuring snakes with measuring tape; just grab snake with tape under your thumb about 5cm behind the head, and then lay it down the snakes body about 5 cm at a time, replacing your hand on the tape. They do not have to stretch out too much that way. You will be able to restrain the snake form sliding through and messing up your work after some practice! A helper comes in handy though... it takes lees time then using the program! Which is really good to test the tape measurements with now and then...
