whats the biggest snake you have ever held?

I know this is going to sound incredibly lame, but the largest snake I've ever held was a 7ft red-tailed Boa. I got to hold him at the fair recently. I paid five bucks to get my picture taken too! :sidestep: I've touched a large burm once, but I was little so it was too big for me to hold.

Had a 8 foot Burm draped around my neck when I was 10. Used to have the photo, but it got lost in the college shuffle. The snake that cemented my love of snakes was a 12" hatchling California King Snake. Small in size, big in personality.

I held a 5-7 foot yellow anaconda at a herp show last July in Salem, OR. He was surprisingly strong! When I held him, he wrapped around me, went over my shoulder. My sister also held him, but he stayed wrapped around her wrists the entire time. :shrugs:

you think a 7 foot rtb is pathetic, the biggest snake i've held was a 3 or 4 foot jungle carpet python...

The biggest I have in my possesion and handle a lot is my columbian boa. Shes 4 1/2ft... Just a baby. My Biggest corn is also about that.

The biggest I have held for a brief period was an 8ft albino granite burm... what a stunning beast!

I was one of three that helped carry a 20ft Anaconda back to her room at a friends house. I'm not sure of the weight, but she was well over a hundred pounds....

Biggest snake ive held was a 14ft female burmese python, mahusive girl.
Biggest non boid was a 8ft Tiger rat snake, male one, took offense to me holding him I think.

Biggest snake i've ever held was a 24ft tiger reticulated python, BY MYSELF!!!! she was like 250-350lbs

LUCKY!!!!

Leyts see...........A burm about 15ft long at the zoo on my birthday in 1st grade. :crazy02:

The biggest I've held was maybe 10 years ago. My sister's friend kept a 14 foot albinon python (not sure which type). The snake ate 2 live rabbits within 30 minutes while i was there. It lived in a huge vivarium. The owner had boarded up part of the room and put plexiglass windows. On the bottom was the snake, he had a very large iguana on top, probably around 4-5 feet long with the tail.

There's just no comparing the power of a big boa or python...our adult carpet python can easily pin an unwary arm to a back of a chair (not that thats EVER happened  )..Big retics, anaconda's burmese etc really command a keepers respect...

I doubt that... not that doubt that you held a 10 foot snake, but that it was a Ball Python. Maybe a Burmese?

7-8 ft. python. Then there's my gorgeous and lovable 4 ft. (oh yeah...you got it!) green tree python.

Can't say I've ever held any monsters teehee... the biggest I think would be a 6ft corn. Although I hope to purchase some big 'uns in the future so that will probably change.
