Just how important is this? My tank seems pretty dry. The substrate is bone dry after a couple days. I have an ufh, which keeps the temp at about 80-83f. Bella's skin looks fairly dry, not shining like the pics I've seen on here. She always seems to be bathing herself in her water, which might help, but because she's wet, when she moves around and the substrate gets wet, a white fungus starts to grow. I want to chage to paper, but she's VERY scared of me, because when I was handling her last week, she tried moving up my arm, and fell onto the floor, so I don't want to have to pick her up and move her while I take the pine ut and replace it with paper

First,
Please get rid of your PINE! You need to use a safe substrate (newspaper, aspen, reptibark, astroturf...). Pine and cedar are hazardous to use with your corn (especially if they get wet).
Your temp seems ok as long as that's on your warm side.
Humidity isn't really important to corns (except during shedding times). If your corn is shedding them it's very good to mist the enclosure and bath your corn lots.
Don't be afraid of handling her because you dropped her. The only way she will get over being scared of you is by handling her more.

I'd agree with Rainey on everything ... well, probably not everything, just the above post 
Everyone I've spoken to says the humidity in the UK is fine. Apart from his last shed it has always been OK for Suzy. This week I'm gonna increase the humidity and bath him daily.

It's not actual pine, it is, as you said to get, Reptibark, from fir tree's. I should have said that. But I still want to change to Aspen or newspaper.
As for handling her, if I even approach the tank, she hides in the shoe (when she fell, she hid in a shoe, and instead of putting her through more stress getting her out, I put the shoe in the tank with her inside)
If I take her out, it will mean chasing her, stressing her out, and I just don't want to put her under that much stress for a while, until she seems to have sttled down again

Obviously you know best as it's your snake ... but your snake will be scared, the only way it will get tame again is relating your scent to not being hurt. Usually only achieved by handling.
Perhaps you could try putting an item (or part) of your worn clothing into the vivarium. then he'll get used to your secent 24/7 without it harming him.
That works for a lot of snakes...

I bought this stupid decoration for Kassie, it was a hold piece of treated cactus. It was a pain in the @$$ to get her out. It was impossible to get her out without causing undue stress to her. So I had two options, get rid of it, or "fix" it so I could get her out without causing her stress.
Since it was a nice decoration and very nice place for her to hide. I decided to make it work. I cut it in half so when she's inside I can just take the top off and pick her out.
Now I imagine you don't want to wreck your shoe, so you should just get rid of the shoe and put in something that is better for her to hide in that would be easy and stress free when taking her out.
If you want to make your shoe work, figure out a way so that you can get her out without freaking her out.
If you want to get rid of the shoe or make it work, either way you'll have to make sure she's not in it. You can either wait for her to be out of the shoe then go in and grab it out of there... or... you can take her out the not so stress-free way. I'm sure in the longrun it wont matter either way.
When I decided to fix my solution I had to get Kassie out of the cactus with the eraser end of a pencil. It wasn't so cool, but now it's easy sailing.
The thing is that the only way you're gonna get her used to you holding her is by holding her.

I'd rather just take it out, and replace it with the original log hide. When that's done, I'll try handling her. She was nervous before, but calmed down once I had hold of her. I just have to get that freakin' shoe out. She's pretty active, but runs for it. I'll keep tying, but if getting her out of the shoe manually is the way, I'll use it as a last resort
