There are few things as beautiful as a GTP.

Visited MegF and her snakes today before she moves away *sniff sniff*

Each time I see them, I grow more and more enamoured with Green Tree Pythons.

Both snakes were total angels.

And here's Whisper. The last time I saw him, he looked like this:

And this has nothing to do with anything...but there was a Preying Mantis waiting for me on my car when I was leaving!!!!! It's a crappy pick and probably not a big deal to anyone but me...but I've only seen like one other preying mantis in the wild, and I've been obsessed with them since childhood!

Look at his cute alien head!!!

* I also got some pics of her corn hatchlings. They were fast. It was hard. Hahahaha. I'll post whatever is worth posting laaaater.

Those are really beautiful pics and snakes! I love th escond pic especially. That mantis really freaks me out though. Mantis's are evil alien creatures!
:sidestep:

I am loving those green tree snakes myself. Great pics and praying mantis thingy's freak me out too.

Why is everyone afraid of Praying Mantises??? They're harmless. They're like...cute little green people! They turn their little heads and look at you...sooooo cute!!!

I just freak out over anything with antennae. Or 8 legs. :)
You forgot the "devour their spouses" part, too. (And not in a good way...) ;)

Lovely looking chondros - the color change in what, 4 1/2 months, is simply amazing. There's a "progression" series I'd like to see!

regards,
jazz

wow!!! those snakes are amazing looking!!!! personally i think they look much better before they turn green, but that one in the middle with the b/w background is beautiful!! possibly the nicest looking one i've seen heh  that mantis is pretty nice looking too :D i've never had one myself..but i've thought about it...maybe once i have less bugs to take care of.

Sorry for butting-in. I figured this is a good time to post up this mantis I saw awhile back. He was looking at me like: "Oh really...?"

BTW - Awesome chondro shots. I'm seriously considering one now. As long as it's as tame as those!

My boss used to feed big, fat ants to this mantis that hung out on our porch at the office. It was neat- as soon as the ant gets close, that head whips around and then WHAM! the Mantis would have it. They eat ants like corn on the cob too- side to side and around in circles. All in all, fascinating critters.

As for the GTP's, they are both gorgeous. I love the blue highlights in the older one. And you are quite the awesome photographer too. Great shots!

Lovely pictures Jenn! The GTP's look stunning in every one of those shots! I'm going to miss Meg too... I had a ball the both times I saw her and her snakes are awsome!

The mantis is neat too, both of the pics posted. We don't get the green ones here, we get brown ones. There was one time Tim had one hitch a ride on his back and didn't realize it! lol

Hahahahaha. I thiiiiink there might be a couple. I'm tinkering with some now. There are some that show the pattern on the spazzy ones...but they're by no means "Nice Photographs"...hahahahaha. I can email all those to you. Actually, send my your address and I'll mail you a disk of every single pic I've taken of your babies.

And yeah...hehehe...I wanna be the first on the list for one of those GTP babies...I'll worry about talking the boy into it when the time comes. It's next year, so if I'm good and don't bother him for anything else until then, I've got a damn good chance. LOL.

Did any of the lavender come out? He stood still the longest besides the little normal.....I'll e-mail you my address. Probably easiest to wait until I'm moved as I'm out of here in less than two weeks.

Here are a few that almost turned out of the Lavender. Moving critters and low light make for alot of fuzzy photos. But these three are kinda cute. Still playing with others though.
