What do you think of his weight?

Sosa is 13 months old now and weighs 120 grams or 4.6 oz, he is 3 1/2 feet long. Does this sound about right for his age?

Hey! Where've you been? :)

Of course, all snakes are different. 120g for a 13mo. old sounds like a respectable weight. The only tiny concern for me is that he's pretty long for that weight. I don't know what you're feeding him or how often, but I'd be giving a 120g '05 a weaned/small mouse every seven days. Hope that helps.

He is very long, a big boy, he seems robust but we are feeding him 2 fuzzies every 7 days. The next step up here is a full size mouse. We don't have a local supplier who carries anything else, grrr.

Right now I can not afford to do the frozen mail order thing, the shipping and handeling kind of closes the door for me on that deal. I know they have to charge it but that is what keeps me from affording it right now.

Do 2 fuzzies sound about right?

Here are some pictures if it helps.

From the photos (which I just saw in the "arrest" thread too), he certainly doesn't look like he's in any danger of starving. ;) I don't know how big your fuzzies are, but I think mine are usually 7-9g.. My weaneds are about 14-19g. So you're pretty much on my schedule already. I'd keep him on his current schedule until he's about 190g, and then switch him to an adult every 10-14 days (frequency depending on weight-gain).

He's beautiful. Sunkissed or het? (We've probably been through this before, LOL.)

Thanks for the feeding info.

Thanks for the info on feeding. He is a Sunkissed corn and as docile as a human baby. He is absolutely a joy to have. We have heard a lot of people say Sunkisseds are notorious for striking or are not very docile but we have not had that experience and I hope that it isn't true or at least that it isn't true that Sosa will become that way.

Not that we wouldn't love him no matter what but at 13 months old I would have to imagine he is how he is going to be as a full grown adult.
