shedding probs

I think that my snakes are having problems shedding. My two girls both look like they need to shed because their skin is getting wrinkly and now it is coming off in chunks - not in one piece. It is really dry weather - I think that is contributing to it.

I have tried giving them baths in warm water but neither of them seem to like it very much. I also have put a cottage cheese container with some paper towels that I keep moist in their viv. They seem to like that but it doesn't seem to help much.

Do I need to be spraying the whole viv and how wet should it be? What should I do for my wrinkly snakes?

SHEDDING

If the water in the baths felt warm to YOU it was too hot for them thats why they did'nt like it,i used an old bath towel soaked in luke warm water then rung it out as much as i could, placed it in a large container with snake fixed the lid (securely)and left it overnight worked a treat and since then have had no further probs............

hope this helps..............STEVE.

Spraying the whole viv can increase the humidity and help them shed. You can also put the water bowl undeer a light or on the warm side of the cage to increase humidity. Steve's idea also works good. I have had luck with putting the snake in question in a container filled with room temp water and putting on the lid. Let the snake soak for about 1-2 hours then take them out and put them in a dry towel and apply a little bit of pressure around their body as they move out of the towel. This will pull of any loose skin.
