hi...the wife and i purchased a corn for our son about 16 days ago ...since then the corn has eaten (very quickly) 3 pinkies(one every 4 days)but...no poop....there is a very little white stuff(like bird do-do)in there...but no smell...IS THIS OK?? and also how often do they shed?and should our son be the only one that handles the snake?...well thanks for the vine..roncorn:)

hi

Your snake should go every time he eats, skipping once isn't like a huge deal but they normally go each time they eat. Once or twice...you might want to give the little guy a bath to make sure he is not "clogged" up and a bath will stimulate him to go to the bathroom. You don't hae to do this every time, but it helps sometimes. And you can do it everytime if you want.

It doesn't matter who holds your snake. Your son, you your wife....whatever. It won't become more "bonded" to anyone because although they do know your scent, they don't become friendly or bonded, they just accept handling.

:) good luck

hi Ron

that white "bird do do" is snake do do, the thing is, with baby corns being fed pinkies the poop is small as there is very little undigestible stuff(fur feather ect ect)so most of the food item is absorbed into the body of the snake, you should bathe your snake on the third day after feeding this should help but should be done with as little handling as poss, and i would also say that you all should handle but not all at once as this would stress him/her out...........

........STEVE.

P.S hope this helps.

I agree, with them, baby corn poo is very small, they need so much to grow that they don't have very big craps. I do suggest that you bath on the second day though, because baby's seem to go through food faster. If you have a corn like Kassie, it'll poo everyday, first, second, third... I've got a pooping machine!
