I love snakes so much, I used to have a garder snake and I had him for a couple years and then 3 years ago I let him go. So right now I realy realy want a corn snake but my parents don't want me to have another because they dont think i will take care of him. Also they dont want to have to take me to the pets store to get mice. So could you help me think of any ways to convince them into leting me have one? Please help me I love snakes. :shrugs:

Well it really depends on your parents. What I did to convince my parents was I told them about corn snakes, how they make great pets and are easy to take care of. I also kept asking if they would bring me to the petstore and always show them the snakes. After asking multiple times (nicely) the went to the petstore without me and talked to the people there. They then gave in.
So for you, you can tell them they never have too see the snake if thats a reason they dont want one. Also about the mice you can order on the internet and they ship right to your door (frozen). A good website is rodentpro.com. Hope it all works out for you.

Its a matter of trust i learned. I'm only 13 and today i finally got my snake. But that was after two years of hard study and drama lessons :grin01: Anywho really you got to learn everything there is to know. Feed frozen thawed, Never release after taking care of your pets ( they get grown on reliying on you). But other than that study study study. Stop bothering them and start doing a essay on what you know. After you got like 3 pages give it to them and tell them to read

Thanks thats a good idea I will try

Speaking as a parent myself, based on your original post in this thread, I wouldn't let you have a snake either.

As a parent, I am ultimately responsible for everything my underage children do. I saw some indicators of very irresponsible behavior in what you posted, therefore if I were your parent, I would be irresponsible in allowing you to have a snake.

Therefore, no snake. Sorry.
