I know bark is a very popular ground for snakes. I will ask a simple question, How do you clean. That's all i want to know.
 
I'm assuming you mean bark like Repti_Bark, etc?

Easiest way to clean it, is scoop the poop out, then take the bark and wash it. Let it air dry, or bake it to dry it, and you're all set.

( I HIGHLY recommend baking ReptiBark before using it, because it's a common problem, that it has wood mites in it, which can be a pain in the butt. Personally, I now bake any new substrate I get after having to deal with the wood mites.)
 
I pretty much bake everything I put in my viv (branches, repti-bark, etc..) that could contain parasites/mites,just to be on the safe side.
 
O wow thanks, my dad was saying you take all of it out and toss it away. Thanks I now got some back up. I thought it was something along those lines, I'll now start using it.

And does the snake ever poop when he/she's burryed in the mulch? If so how do you clean that, just look for it?

I agree with your father. You don't clean chipped wood substrate, you scoop it out, throw it away, and replace it with fresh chips. I don't like Repti-bark for the reason given (wood mites). Plus, it stains the snakes, accessories, etc.. Use aspen shavings.
 
You don't need to bake the repti bark, you can throw it in the freezer to kill the wood mites. I do this with most of the wooden accessories in my enclosures and have never had a problem. as long as your freezer gets down close to or below zero (0)
