my viv was set up over 2 weeks before i got my snake. Now that i got it temps on the warm side have shot up to 92. Im going to buy a new thermostat but what should i do until it arrives?

thanks in advance

Where do you live? If your area is not too cold, you might be able to turn off the uth until the thermostat arrives(as long as your snake hasn't just ate and is trying to digest his food).

Another option would be to place a ceramic tile or plexiglass directly over the area where your uth is, which will help spread the heat a little and hopefully cool it down.

What I did for my guy was set it up on a couple of paperback books, which put some distance between the tank and the UTH. Made a good temp solution for me.
