After your snakes have warmed up and are ready for their first meal (about 1-2 weeks after temps at corn ideal), feed both sexes a SMALL meal for the first couple of feedings. Their systems need to recoup after brumation. Then feed both sexes normally. Neither sex will probably be ready to mate until after their first post-brumation shed. This can take 1-2 months.
Females will be ready to breed anytime after the post-brumation shed...some within days, others can take several weeks. You can try to breed a male before his shed as some will breed if the female is very ready. I put the male and female together in a completely seperate cage during breeding attempts, but if cages are few, I would opt to put the male in the females cage since it would be full of her pheromones and would stimulate the male more. I put pairs together for about 24 hours, look for signs of mating, seperate, and try again in 2-3 days. I do this until I know the pair has mated at least twice. If feeding day falls on a breeding day, I'll wait a couple of days to allow the female to digest before the male stresses her out in attempts to breed if she's not quite ready.
During breeding season, females generally eat well, but males will often feed irregularly, and sometimes not at all. This is normal. Feed gravid females normally until they show signs of being full of eggs, then feed only smaller prey. A female may not eat if she's close to laying her clutch. Feed her a small meal a day or so after she lays, then another small meal at her regular feeding schedule, then you should be able to feed her normally after that, with perhaps a bit of an increase to boost her back up to normal body weight (example...every 5-6 days instead of every 7 days).
Hope this helps.
