Anyone build a custom hide or climb out of....LEGOS?

My son suggested this. I thought it was sorta silly when he suggested it but actually it sounds like a good idea for smaller snakes. I'm sure it's been thought of before. Has anyone tried this? Pictures? At 40 years old, this might be a good excuse for me to start playing with LEGOs again. :)

Never thought of it, but I bet they would make cute hides for smaller snakes.

Can't imagine making one for a grown snake, but hatchlings they would be kinda neat hides.

I guess that it could work for both hatchlings and adult corns if you had enough pieces. Of course, you would have to sterilize them first. The only downfall would be if your snake defecates on it... then feces would be in the cracks and crevices in between the Lego pieces.

So I guess if you don't mind taking it apart and sterilizing the pieces every once in a while, it could work. It would also make a very colourful viv! :grin01:

Make the hide, spray some kind of sealant that is non toxic. Like an Elmers glue layer, fills the cracks and keeps them all together too!

Glue the pieces in place with a CA glue(superglu or zap-a-gap), than use a Decopage sealer over it to keep gunk out of the cracks.

You would use DUPLO blocks for bigger critters ... kind of the reverse of LEGO/DUPLO for humans.

I never think about it, but after i saw what Derek54 post,,i think that would be a great idea :grin01:
