Pretty background, and I like that elevated water dish. Looks cool to me. A lot cooler than my viv. Where'd you get that stuff, may I ask?

The water dish is actually behind the climbing log..so it looks like it's part of the log..sorry for the misconception...the water dish is actually pretty ordinary looking (except for the fact that it's a rock dish and not a glass dish..) both the rocky water dish and the climbing log I got at "Petsmart"..the brown hide log I got at "Pet Company" and the green cave hide I got at "Petsmart"...same with the background...but I"m glad you like it :0) :wavey:

Very nice. :)

Is the unit in the front right your thermometer?

Yes it is..I know it's not a probe type..but with no substrate under it and it laying flat on top of the heat mat..I think it gives me a pretty good idea of what Maize is feeling when she lies around there...It seems to be working well so far at least..

It looks nice.Personally,,I just don't like the light color substrates,,but it looks very comfertable for a snake :grin01:

If you are going to lay things on top of the screen lid, I'd add a second screen cover - the kind they sell for regular aquariums. The screen lids on Critter Cages don't seem all that sturdy and laying things on top will undoubtedly shorten its life span. (And I haven't seen any direct replacements for sale anywhere.) Adding a second screen lid will give you about a 1/8 to 1/4 inche between the top screen and the slide-in critter cage lid. That way, the top screen lid will take the wear and tear, not the critter cage lid. It's not all that inconvenient, and they are cheap.

Ahhhh....a thermometer!... I thought she had her very own cell phone in there! I thought that was one spoiled little snake. Your viv looks really great, any snake would be proud to live in there. Great job !!

hehe That's exactly what I thought at first. It looks like Maize was running up the phone bill. :)

Thanks everyone for the input..as for putting stuff on top of the screen..the most that would ever go up there is the bag of litter and even that I don't put up there very often..it's usually next to the tank..but I put it on top for the pic to get a clearer shot of the inside..I'm not really one for putting stuff on top of Maize's home..heh..thanks again for the input :0)
