here is my divided 75 with the shiny new plexi doors. Sorry about all the glare, the tank is next to our french doors.

Does the hides look ok or should I use something else? Is it ok if I don't use alot of decorations like the fake greens, I know it looks really nice but I prefere pretty basic cages.
I still have to get water dishes and something for climbing.

:crazy02: :crazy02: :crazy02: :crazy02: :crazy02: :crazy02: Nice cage
and o yer in the first pic u can see ur dog lol
very nice dog i hope your snakes r as nice

Like the divided cage, I personally like natural looking hides when I'm show casing an animal, along with a climbing branch. How are you controlling heat and humidity? How much did it cost to build. Nice job. :grin01:

That is a VERY nice divide! I also, prefer more "natural" looking hides...but my snakes prefer paper towel tubes. Go figure.

Looks good! As for the hides, my only concern would be that they (at least the blue one anyways) looks like it still gets a lot of light on the inside. It might be better to get something that is more opaque and will create a darker inside.

I paid $50 for the aquarium a couple years ago, its housed a ball, frog and recently a beardie, I don't really count the cost of it since I've used it so much.
The plexi cost $50 and another $15-$20 for hardware, drill bits, silicone, etc...
The glass I used for the divider is actually one of the aquarium lids that came with it, cost $5 to have it cut to the right size, I wanted to use it cause its 1/4 thick.

I have a large heat mat centered on the bottom, half the heat mat for each side, its hooked up to a dimmer switch so I can control the temp. You can see the dimmer in the second pic on the bottom left side attached to the table.

I don't worry too much about humidity and don't have gauges but I do mist during sheds.

I'm not terribly fond of the hides I have but I'm not investing in fancy ones until I know if I'm keeping the pair that will be living in this tank.

That tank looks good, but I'd suggest a few basic (looroll or kitchenroll tube) hides for if the snakes want to settle on the cool sides
