She's Home!!!

In the land of Cheeeeeese
Here she is….Roxanne.

After what has seemed like an eternity, we finally got a break in the weather, long enough for Kathy Love to ship her to me.

I picked her up yesterday, weighed her (24 grams) and let her settle into her new home. Low and behold, when I got up this morning she was out and about and I managed to capture a few pictures.

Roxanne replaces Mr. Slithers who I lost at the beginning of January. Kathy has been absolutely wonderful to work with. Thank you very much Kathy!!!

Regards,
Steve

Thanks everyone!!! After losing Mr. Slithers, I never doubted getting another snake, and after seeing her, I’m glad I didn’t.

Nanci,

When I opened the box and saw how "big" she was (I am sensitive to the fact she is a female ;) ), I was very pleased with her size. Hopefully, she’ll be able to settle in nicely and won’t have to draw on those reserves.

Finally, after a week of tweaking, I actually have my temps set where I want them :) .....I hope she likes them too.

Regards,
Steve

I was beginning to think you would stay below 20F until June or so, lol!

She looks very happy. Hope she is a piggy for you like she has been for me.

Good luck!

zakee,

We're not sure. He regured and I waited the required 10 days...feed him a pinky head and the next day I found him dead.

In talking with Kathy about it and we both thought that I had everything set up right, so I really couldn't tell you. Sometimes these things just happen.

Regards,
Steve

That's a cool snake.
Today's okeetee's - you can't find a bad one.
It's also nice to buy young snakes at the end of winter/early spring. they've been eating all winter and are much larger than summer babies.
