I brumated my pair of durango mtn kingsnakes and I was starting to worry because they were both refusing food after their warm up. I tried to get them to eat f/t and live but they were refusing and even acting as if the food was frightening them! Well I finally got the female to take a f/t by feeding her a frozen thawed weanling in her viv which I warmed up so it would seem alive yet unthreatening. She went for that last weekend and just took her second one, so I guess the hunger strike is over! I hate feeding her in the viv but it works, I just watch her like a hawk to make sure she doesn't ingest substrate.
The male was taking fuzzies but refusing the right size food, so I gave him a live fuzzy and then offered him the f/t mouse while he was still swallowing the fuzzy. It worked! What a relief, if these guys stay on track I might get to have baby greeris this year
