Huge Male

onelifetolive45

Too many to choose from!!
Hey everyone, I went up to the Hamberg PA show today and picked up a pair of proven Snows. The male is honestly the biggest corn I have ever seen, he is probably 5 feet long and weighed in at 1183 grams. He is solid muscle. Anyone ever see a corn bigger? Second the female weighed in at 845 grams(still huge) however she has developed the fatty deposits towards her lower half. I know this doesnot impede on breeding etc. etc. but has anyone ever experienced any other significant problems with a female that has developed the fat deposits. I will post pictures as soon as I stop being lazy. :bang:

Longer, yes. Heavier, no. My creamsicle male is 5'6", but only a bit over 900 grams.

My corn is long as well. She's a female with no fatty deposits and she is 978 grams. Everyone on the forums say it's unheard of and that she's probably overweight. Two separate vets said that she's not overweight......so who knows.

IF she is muscular, muscle is heavier than fat. Thats like with my snow he is solid muscle and amazingly strong. I re-weighed him three times juts to make sure I was right. Anyone have any thoughts on the fatty deposits on the female?

What is she feeding on? What is she in? You could give her a good excersie frequently, and put her on a diet! The fat isnt a big deal, you can just make her heavier by building muscle, and taking away fat!

probably because she gets so much EXERCISE in her enormous house!!!

I would think that it would be healthier not to have the fat. Overweight, underexercised females tend to egg bind. Fit, well muscled individuals usually do better. I'd cut back on the feed to every two weeks and a smaller animal until that goes away.

So do you guys think I should hold off on breeding this year. That would kind of suck but her health comes before anything else.

I don't know that I would hold back on breeding, but I would start getting her out to get her well exercised, especially after she starts producing eggs. At least a couple of times a week to keep her muscles well toned.

Ok, just handling her would be enough exercise ro somethin ga little more demanding. Its too bad she has this fat problem, she is a really beautiful snow. Some nice yellows

Ryan, just handle her while you are working around the shop. Let her crawl around on the cart, etc. If you start handling often, feeding every 10 days, she will look like a totally different snake in a few months.

I will be taking some pictures maybe tomorrow, he is just solid muscle. I was really blown away by him. Ill put some up soon.

Yup! That's a very fat female! The males scales are pretty seperated too, so I'd say he's on the fat side also. They are pretty though.
