Are there any??

I found two... one is a Barron's "Complete Pet Owners Manual" style book by the Bartlett's. I have several of these and they are rather shoot and useless...

The second is an older style AVS book. I may buy that one.

Are there any other larger, more complete books on either or both of these species?
 
I've never found any good books on Monitors & Tegus (nothing that wasn't $30+). I would suggest going to Fauna's Monitor & Tegu forum and speaking to Bobby...He's the Tegu king. :)
