breeding season behavior already?

My adult male is acting like it's time to start breeding. He's been very active the last week, and he's skipped his last couple feedings. I know this is pretty typical for males, but does it seem really early for this behavior to anyone else?

It could depend on several factors. Did you brumate your snake, either on purpose or by accident (decreased temps without really knowing it, perhaps due to an extra old spell, reducing ambient air temps that heaters couldn't compensate for)? Any slight increase in normal temps and/or lighting which might cause the snake to think Spring has already come? I've purposely caused my corns to initiate breeding by adjusting their surroundings (earlier cooling and then earlier warming), so it could happen.

I didn't brumate him or change his temps. However, I did recently move him into a different room. The previous room got very little light, and the new one gets a lot of afternoon sunlight. He did seem to want to brumate, and hadn't eaten in awhile. That was one reason that I wanted him to get more light. I was hoping that he would decide to eat again! Oh well... he's a sizable fellow and can go awhile without eating. Hopefully he'll decide to eat again soon, though.

Thanks for answering my question!
