My New Tank Setup.

This is my poohs final setup. after changing it like a million times he finally agreed for me to keep it this way he really likes it this way.

Well good but the stick on themomter is not going to help. Get one with a proble on it. And the electrical tape on the cardboard tubes is a no no too. The hide with the cotton balls is I guess a humity hide. You don't need to use that 24/7 just when you snake is having a problem shedding.
The rest is good.

It looks good. A couple of suggestions:

Like the other poster said, that stick-on thermometer is not going to give you accurate readings. I suggest a minimum of 3 thermometers - an analog thermometer (the dial kind) at each end of the tank on the back wall about half way up, and a digital thermometer with a probe with the probe in substrate over the glass where the UTH is (assuming you are using a UTH). The analog thermomters will tell you the ambient air temperature, and the probe will measure the heat just over the UTH.

If you are using a UTH, You would do well to raise your tank a bit so air can circulate underneath. Otherwise, heat can build up. If the UTH is unregulated, the heat can crack the glass or burn the surface of whateer your tank is sitting on.

If you are using that lamp for heat, move it to one end (whatever "hot" end you decide on). If its simply for illumination purposes, its fine where it is. Either way, since it is emitting white light, turn it off at night.

yes i do know that the stick on thermo was not good it was on the tank when i brought it. also its pretty much enough space under my tank for circulation and yes the light is for lighting the tank and i also keeps it at a warm temp around 77 degrees.
i usally don't use the uth i just move the lamp put in the heat bulb and one side cool one side hot but when its in the middles its just for lighting so i can see.

i have just done some new things in there also here's an update:



*also i have the moist hide in there because when he is in blue he likes the mosit hide to shed in but not all the time he never had a bad shed without it i think he just likes the moisture.lol...i have to gets pics of him in there when he's not in blue b/c he looks very dull.*

yes i no about that i read it befor but mine isn't taped that way its taped yes but he can not get stuck to it because it tape it side to side together and not over it like the other girl did i have had that for about 2 monts and he loves it ecpically (sry if spelled wrong ) when i add ne pices and make it bigger.
