Shredded Paper

So, I do taxes and have about 30 boxes of paper to shred yearly to protect clients information.. You probably already guessed my question.
Is there any risk of using some of these paper shreds as bedding? I use standard white paper and a lazerjet printer.
Some of the stuff at pet stores looks like recycled paper shreds anyway, that's what got my imagination going on this..

Of course I would pull the staples out before I shred... went through a few shredders before I learned that one.

There are chances of paper cuts for your snake and that's not real good. I wouldn't I mean mayb just to put your snake in for like 2 min. :shrugs:

In this vote I vote ney.

Shredded paper should not be a problem for bedding. The only thing I can think of as detracting from its use would be absorbancy and keeping the mess from spreading.

Yeah, I was worried about that myself- lack of absorbancy, but the upside is since it's free and endless, I can change it with every mess.

Some of the finer shredders out there seem to produce a lot of fine dust like particles but I would think if you have a standard long cut shredder all should be fine
