So of you may know my mother said she didn't want to let me have my snake untill like...all of my fish passed away.
I was mentioning to her a little bit ago how this havre de grace show is being held EVERY month this year. So maybe we could go to that to look/maybe get my snake.
She said it didn't sound worth it despite the prospect of getting a cheaper snake. Because I can get one for $32 at work, so by the time we paid all the toll money/gas to get down to maryland she didn't think it would be worth it.
Then she remembered that we're going down to VA in may, may 5th to be exact when the reptile show is! She said we could probally go. Then she asked me what I would do with a snake if for some reason I did get one (see? not saying I can't get one) and I explained to her that I couldn't even feed/bother the snake for a few days anyway so alls I would need would be a container big enough to hold the snake, with air holes, bedding, water and a hiding place. I have a heating lamp which would probally be good just for the weekend.
So my mom pretty much just agreed to let me go to a reptile show with her in may and possibly get my snake!

But since I live in south jersey my mom would probally say the same thing regarding tolls, or the price of a train.
Maryland is on our way somewhere :)
 
At a show you will have a MICH better selection of corn morphs to choose from, plus they would probably be in better health than corn snakes from a Petco.
You can speak to the breeders and find out the snake's genetic background in case you ever want to breed them.Heck even just knpwing the snake's gender and morph name is more info than you would get at a Petco.

When you are at the show be sure to pick up a good supply of frozen mice for your snake, as they'll be cheaper than anything at a pet store and you wont have the high shipping costs of online frozen feeder orders.
 
Well as much as I would love to stock up the crux of me having a snake involves me only buying the food when I'm ready to keep the snake. Part of the parental agreement.
But I'm looking foward to buying from a breeder so I can screen them about my baby :D you know actually ask them when their last shed was, how they are at eating etc :D
