Now that I can't work still and need to feed my new snakes and give pinkies as treats to my bearded dragons, mice are becoming expensive and hard to obtain. I want to know if breeding them would be cheaper and efficient (plus it has to be possible for a 14 year old high school student to do w/o taking too much time out of studies). If anyone can help me out please do. Thanks in advance.

Do you feed live? You could maybe think about buying frozen, I got a pack of 100 large pinks for $45 from an online site. Depending on how many snakes you have, that should last you quite a while.

i seem to have a problem w/ buying the bulk frozen because they all get freezer burnt or rotten bfore i feed them to anyone. I'm not sure why this is but im still a little scared of feeding my animals rotten food and i cant buy live food contently. I am trying t feed 5 corns, 3 ball python, and 8 bearded dragons.

Get a seal a meal and start vacum packing your frozens, it will help them last ALOT longer.
Another tip, stop feeding pinkies to your beardies, do some reaserch on fatty liver disease and the cause. If you want to give them treats then a nice strawberry will do.

What do you mean by "rotten" ? I know what the term means obivously, but I have had frozen mice that are kept in Sealed plastic bags for seven months or longer ,and never had a problem with them going bad .

Sorry to hear that doesn't work out for you, because it works great for me.

Unless you are letting them defrost, they shouldn't rot. As long as you keep them frozen until you use them, they can not rot while frozen. :shrugs:

A LITTLE freezer burned isn't a problem. Thawed frozen bought in bulk, as reasonable quantities, is definitely he way to go.
