When will they give birth?

I have a colony of 1.2 Red-eyed white mice.

Well, both of the females are pregnant. One female is so huge and the other female is a little smaller than her.

I was changing their bedding on Friday and moving them to a bigger cage. I noticed there were a few drops of blood in the nest the girls made to lay in. So I thought for sure one or both would give birth that night but nope. It's now Sunday and they are still just as fat.

When are they going to give birth?

When my female in my last colony was pregnant and I noticed the female starting to get big she had her babies two days later.

I know I should just be paitent but it's driving me crazy waiting.

Give them both until tuesday, I cant see it taking any longer than that. Patience is a virtue

You're right paitence is a virtue.

I checked on them a couple hours ago and the biggest female was giving birth so I guess she just felt like having them in the late afternoon/early evening instead of the middle of the night. I didn't get an accurate count but I know there was more than six...she still was breating heavy and was still a little fat so I don't think she was done. Now I just have to wait for the other female. Hopefully they're both good mothers because my last colony ate their babies and then died a month later.

The females seemed to have kicked the male out of the nest because he was laying by himself in another corner.

Yea it is!!! Glad to hear the one gave birth, a lot of times they will eat thier babies if:
1. Low food or water
2. There is more than one male in the colony
3. The moms go crazy

It has all happened to me. Hopefully they will be ok.
