Princess Tula Royale-Freshly Shed!!

[Insert Witty Commentary]
This little girl is finally starting to look like she's supposed to. She had a real difficult shed tonight, and I had to help.....alot...but we finally got it all off. I would not be the least bit surprised if this is the first time she has had every piece of old skin removed from her body in her life. But in the end...she is finally starting to look like a royal python should...

Thanks for looking!

She's looking great, Chris! Are those her little spurs you can see in the pic? How cute!

MUCH better!! Much, much, much better. That is what a beautiful little girl should look like.

I'm sure she appreciates the exfoliating skin treatment at Spa-Chris, too. :grin01:

Wow that is one pretty snake. Nice color and pattern!!!!!!!I got a royal python too. She also had a hard shed ( 2 days). Here's a pic:

Pretty girl, thanks for sharing.

Ultimately, with my little girl, she would be dead by now if I hadn't taken her in about a month ago...of this I have no doubt. She only weighed in at aroun 110grams when I got her...she is now between 196 and 205, depending on the time of day. She was mistreated, and came to me with massive scarring, LOADS of old shed still attached, thick eyecaps that never shed, and burns from unprotected heat lamps. She was a gift from a local pet shop that knew I would invest any necessary time and moeny to return her to a state of physical well-being. There are some folks here that were instrumental in bringing her back to "normal"...

I'm honestly not sure if she actually knows HOW to shed completely herself. As I said...I don't think she has EVER had a complete shed before last night.

I know that ALOT of her scars "came off" with this shed, and the ones that are still there are definitely smaller and less "rough" in nature. I just hope that she can eventually shed cleanly on her own...

She looks amazing! If you EVER think of getting rid of her...PM me! :santa: Thanks alot for getting her up to health!

This little girl will be a special pet for me for many years to come. She is an amazing animal, and she astounds me every day with the progress she has made...so I don't think I will ever be selling her...we have developed a very special bond at this point...

Thanks for the kind comments, though!

Shes a beautiful little python, and I'm sure she knows how to shed perfectly well :p

My pastels first 2 sheds were awful, he decided to shed backwards and all in little bits despite having humid hides and his box sprayed every day. It took him a few months to settle down properly and last month was his first proper complete shed! Hes going blue now and I'm sure he won't have any problems.
