Hi guys I appreciate this is a corn snake site and i do have corns but i also have a milk snake however my 3yr old sister has gone into my room and opened the cage and left it open all night whilst i have been out. I know some people may think it is irresponsible of me to not have locks on the cage and i do but my mum had changed the water that day and left the lock off :flames: and hes escaped this was last Thursday i am afraid he has gone into the wall caverties i have left caves on the floor with heat mats on them but no luck iv left a couple of mice out. no luck. what should i do leave it alone and hope for the best? Thanks Will
 
Methods of finding lost corns should work for other species as well. You can run a search to find plenty of ideas on how to find your snake. Good luck...and don't give up!
 
Don't forget to leave water out, along the wall, and check every single hiding place, over and over, and sit and watch for him when it starts to get dark out. There are things called bottle traps which you can make, and you can put very weak painter's tape down to try to tangle him up. And newspaper to hear him rattle it if he crosses it. And they can get a lot further than you think- one or two floors away. Also look up at places he could climb up to. Good luck.
