I interrupted Beatrix while she was laying. There were about 12 good-looking eggs already out, and it looked like she had 3-4 more in her. The father of the clutch is Paul, my dark pewter. Both are Serpenco '05s. I'll post pics of the eggs in a hatching box and the final count when she's done. In the meantime, here are two pics.

1. Beatrix and eggs in the lay box.
2. Beatrix and Paul in the breeding tub.

If anyone is interested in getting on a list for the charcoal het amel and blood offspring, please PM me and let me know how many, and what sex you want.

Good looking pair there - I imagine these are going to be some pretty babies! Thanks Katie. I sure hope for some nice hatchlings. I don't own a non-pewter, non-blizzard charcoal, so I might even keep one. :)

She finished laying: 17 good eggs, 1 slug. Here's a pic of the eggs in their incuabation container, and a bad pic of Pedro, my '06 MBK, taking care of that single slug. He examined it pretty carefully before deciding to eat it. I was surprised; I thought he'd go right for it.

Congrats!!! Nice looking pair and nice looking eggs. Mexican Black Kingsnakes eat eggs? Didn't know that.

Most kings will eat eggs and are great to have around during laying season.

Congrats (and keep me on this list) on this clutch as well, Dean.
