ok this use to be a huge full of life fish tank..but its fish tank days has come to a end and my aunt gave it to me for nothing. i know it needs a cleaning. but the tank over all theres no cracks in it (its glass) and all i need to get is a new top for the tank its self.. but what do you guys think will it make a good tank for two corns? and how do i do the things i want to redo it a bit.

1. change the color to a a nice wood or somthing.
2.anyway i can change the lid to open more at the top. only opens a few inch. anyway i can cut the glass on the sides or do i have to redo the green top. the tank coer will be screened or somthing so air gets in.
(theres 2 things to open to get in the tank the tanks lid and the green top)
3 can i put another piece of glass or anything in to make it in to to tanks.

the tank does move over and fix the thing its on but i tryed and i couldnt push it over i need some help for that part..

Sure it would work for two corns but look into cohabitating corns. There should be info in the husbandry section.

The Green doesn't look that bad!

Just be sure the lid is functional and the snake(s) cannot escape.

Some Pet Stores sell dividors for tanks but im sure you could get a piece of glass and some aquarium silicone and partition the tank. Just let it completely cure before introducing the snakes to the tank.

I'd avoid top opening vivs. Some snakes can feel threatened when they see a hand approach from above them. Also the aquarium is quite tall so I wouldn't have it that high. It would make it difficult for access for you. Using a side opening viv looks better and a lot easier to maintain and the snake won't feel threatened.

The tank looks great. I'm not a fan of top opening tanks, though. I kept one of my snakes in one some time ago, and he was noticeably more nervous in that tank than in the front-opener he's in now. Also, I kept making a mess when lowering full water bowls from the top - if you've not got a steady hand water just goes everywhere. That's just my personal opinion tho - I know plenty of people who like tanks with lids.

The other thing to consider is that it's not recommended to keep two corns together. They are naturally solitary animals and find it stressful to live together. As Jcapicy suggested, run a search on cohabitation, there's a wealth of info out there! :)

Quoting myself on this one.

I think the op said they wanted to know how to divide the tank, not co-habitate

The op also stated it was a 'huge' tank... depending on their definition of huge, dividing the tank wouldn't necessarily wipe our their intentions to cohabitate... I don't think it was worded very clearly. :shrugs: But yeah, I see that I misunderstood, sorry about that.
