He's filling out quite nice but his head and neck are still really small is that ok.

Thanks alot and i hope you like the pics.

your snake looks beautiful, really like the colours! he looks good weight and size wise, how old is it? i'd have a random guess at it being around a yearling?! if so it looks good

and no offence intended, but you feed your snake on the bed.... :sidestep:

Thanks for the comment and yeah he is gorgeous.

I believe he is about 9-10 months old but may be a bit older.

And he did eat that on the bed yes.I am going to start using a big tray i have got but i just fed him quickly on that as i don't ever feed him in his viv as i have heard if they digest their substrate it's bad for them.

Out of curiousity where do ya feed yours?

My husband takes care of the two adults, Konig and Smokey, and he feeds them right in their tanks but my snake, Gaia, is about 5-6 months old and I guess I spoil her. (I don't really know if she is a she or he, but right now I call her - her). I am feeding her 3 pinkies a week now so when the pinkies are thawed I put them in a critter carrier. I then take Gaia out of her tank and play with her for a couple of minutes, weigh and measure her and then lower her head first in the critter carrier. Sometimes it's funny because she'll butt noses with the pinkie, then open wide and start eating but she won't let go of my finger. Once she almost has the first pinkie in she'll let go and then start searching for the other two.

While she is eating I'll clean her tank and stuff and then tilt the critter carrier onto her branch so she can stroll off, down and into her hide.

I got her the first of February. Gaia (as you probably know) is Greek for Earth/ Mother Earth Spirit. I plan on getting another one and will call it Danu which is Druid for Earth. I think I want to wait until I get Gaia sexed and then get a mate.

Right now she weighs in at 23 gms. and is 19 inches long. The pet shop owner said she was in a late November hatch so I am guessing she is about 5-6 mths old.

:crazy02:

Thanks ir and i got him in august if i go by what the petshop man said he is about 9 months old maybe a month or 2 older though not entirely sure. And yeah i had him for awhile and had not named him and then i nmed him Irwin in the end in memory of steve irwin :)

Beautiful name and a beautiful snake sue.

Irwin is 76 grams i hope that don't make him over weight as yours is abit younger but only 23 grams. What do you guys think? i know the slight bulge in the picture above you can see the mice he just ate but apart from that i think he looks in good shape and not over weight at all.

Don't worry, he looks perfectly fine and healthy. I think he looks great, and is growing great.

Like his colors.

Thanks all and yeah he is gorgeous :)

Can't wait till monday when my new thermometers and heat mats come and he can go in his new viv :grin01:
