well, my snake is about 1/2 an inch wide as his widest point and about a foot and a halfish long, and I was wondering when I should move to the next size for his mice. Right now I'm feeding him pinkies, but the bump from the pinky goes away completly in about a day and a half. He gets down the pinkies easily, but i'm not sure if theyre to small for him yet. He's about five months old.

I go by weight to be honest mate here is a very helpful chart who i got off of a member on here :)

Pink 2-3g every 4-5 days 4-15g snake

2 Pinks 3g2 4-5 days 16-23g snake

Small Fuzzy 5-7g 5-6 days 24-30g snake

Fuzzy 7-9g 5-6 days 30-50g snake

Hopper 9-12g 5-6 days 51-90g snake

Weaned mouse 14-20g 7 days 91-179g snake

Adult mouse 24-30g 7 days 170+g snake

That's a very good size chart.
If you don't have a scale, you can get them in the cook were section at most department stores forabout $20. A basic kitchen scale that does metric is all you need.

If you want to go by width, there is the old 1 1/2 diameter rule. Give your snake food no larger than 1 1/2 it's own width.
At five month you should probably be on at least 2 pinkies or 1 fuzzy.
