Ok,my corns been in the "blue eyed state" For acouple of days now so I started spraying his cage with warm water and then covering most oif the ventillation with a towl for 10 mins to help him get ready for the shed. I do this 2 a week monday and thursday. is this 2 much? I was told humity helps thwm shed so I thought 10 mins 2 a week with tropiical hu ity would be fine(I live in ontario so it's not very humide anyway. I don't have a humitogage but just from what I said do you think I'm doing more harm than good?

I would just give them a good spray every day while the are in shed. or give them a shed box to rest in.

Unless your corn has previously had problems shedding I wouldn't go too crazy nicky. More often than not just misting him/her maybe once or twice will suffice.

Ya ok Um just wondering whats a shed box? My corns never had much problems just with the tail and want it all to come of this time for reasons to show people and stuff. :w:)
Just a little box like a shoebox where there is damp stuff inside. The snake can go in there to moisten the dead skin and rub around in it to get it off. Cut a hole in the side where he can get in. You can fill it with like wet newspapers or papertowels .
Some snakes will refuse to go in it though..so you may or may not have luck with this

I'm sure I've mentioned this elsewhere but other options to a shedbox or misting is putting your corn in a damp, course pillowcase with some damp towels for maybe 15minutes. This provides moisture & a course substrate with which to rub against.
